"Cooking is not difficult, everyone has taste, even if they don't realize it. Even if you are not a great chef, there's nothing to stop you understanding the difference between what taste's good and what is doesn't" Kitchen life was indeed amazing, as it is my first time to be in this kind of craft that later on I realized that this is a very passionate profession. I can't highlight just one session because every session is memorable and enjoyable, so I guess everything was my favorite but the best memorable of all was the baking session with Chef Yummy.

"They say life isn't easy. Well life in a kitchen, even more so, but I love it. You may experience some hardships but once you see the expressions of the people that you cooked for enjoying what you made for them, then its worth it." I don't really have any favorite session because every session peek my interest. Every session was informative and yet fun.

"I don't like looking back. I'm always constantly looking forward. I'm not the one to sort of sit and cry over split milk. I'm too busy looking for the next cow." The kitchen is my playground. Why? Because I found happiness in achieving and pursuing this craft. Just like children, they enjoy playing in parks and playgrounds. If you're happy, you can do your job well. My favorite session are pasta and Asian Cuisine.

"If an architect makes a mistake he grows icy to cover it. If a doctor makes a mistake, he covers it with soil. If a cook makes a mistake, he covers it with some sauce and says it is a new recipe." It's hot, loud, messy, sweaty and worst of all fiercely competitive but it's worst learning new techniques of cooking and dishes from other culture and countries.

"Real cooking is more about following your heart than following recipes." For the past two weeks, even we only meet two times a week. I learned a lot of things, from different kinds of cut of vegetables, to stocks, fish, meats and pastry. I learned an incredible amount from short period of time. Kitchen made me build my confidence. In the beginning I took so many notes and a phone full of recipes out in class. At the end I simply watched the chef's make things and knew that I could do what they are doing without writing down anything. Learned the importance of pairing knife and lastly, creativity comes from making do what you have. Don't let the lack of something stop you from creating something in kitchen.

"Find something you're passionate about and keep tremendously." I have always loved to cook and actually wanted to become a chef, but the courses are very expensive. Thankfully, I came across INFINITE TRAINING CENTER, INC. my wish became reality. I have learned new techniques in cooking and baking and I'm experimenting more with the knowledge I'm getting. I love our session in Asian Cuisine and also the baking session. With Asian Cuisine, it's something that we normally cook but some are with different twist and that's what I'd love to sell at our family owned restaurant while in baking, I've become more interested in it that I chase to practice and be more creative.

"I don't think there's any chef that is born great like music or in sports. You have to burn yourself multiple times.....messing up makes you a better CHEF." I actually don't really cook at home, because my father is in control of the kitchen but I really love cooking and I really wanted to learn more and to have confidence in cooking. My parents are really good in cooking and they inspired me to be a professional chef in the near future. Experiencing the kitchen life at Infinite I was able to discovered my passion in cooking. I found this throughout our sessions, seems that I enjoyed cooking more than anything. Inside the kitchen I learned so many things especially the cooking techniques. Pastry arts is something I have fear to explore but during our session with Chef Yummy I realized that baking is not really hard the way I figure it out nonetheless it is really fun.

"A recipe has no soul. You as the cook must bring soul to the recipe." I'm always excited whenever were having our session in cooking, because ever since it has been my ultimate dream to enroll in a culinary school and I'm so happy that it finally happened. Everything in our session are my favorites (well, except in the baking session part) because I'm really suck baking, but I enjoyed it, I had fun and I find it really challenging though. I'm still willing to try again to learn more and this time I'll make sure that I will have a lot of patience when it comes to baking.

God Bless TESDA and INFINITE.

I was one of the TESDA Scholars for Bread and Pastry Production October 2020 Batch under the supervision of Infinite Training Center. Due to the corona virus pandemic that affects the world, I am forced to go back home, Philippines, and leave my English teaching job in Vietnam. With the help of OWWA, they introduced my file to TESDA Region 9 since I was not qualified for the cash assistance. Luckily, TESDA contacted me to introduce their program for OFWs. Without second thoughts, I grabbed the opportunity not just because it’s free to learn but also because I’m a cake lover. I’ve been dreaming to bake ever since but I did not know where to start. Most of the times, I watched videos on youtube and facebook on how to design cakes. I’m more into design and tips since I know nothing in the baking process. When I got the scholarship, I was so excited yet also scared because I’m not the typical lady who always in the kitchen. Everything was perfect from the submission of requirements, to the online classes with Chef Jay, to the demonstration of this and that, to the assessment until to the best part which is passing the course. I am proud to say that I’m a NC II Holder of Bread and Pastry Production. What’s next? The next thing to pursue your love for cakes is to purchase the most essential equipment which is the oven. Thanks to the allowance, I was able to buy 60L Kyowa Oven during Lazada Sale. I was able to practice and apply what I’ve learned during the training and it was so fulfilling. I never stopped on looking for good recipes online. I joined various facebook groups which help beginners and expert to come together and discuss things. Baking is life indeed. As of now, I am slowly introducing my Choco Moist Cake in a tub for only 99 pesos to the few people of Zamboanga City. I personally deliver to them since the excitement of baking and selling is still present. I got great feedback on the first day, second day and until today. Also, I also had few repeat orders from customers which totally imply that the food is really good. Also, I do bake cakes whenever there’s celebration in the family. I do not need to buy elsewhere. Baking at night, since it’s the only time I have, is tiring yet fulfilling. I do my research on recipes at night too. The latest one I’ve mastered is Mocha Cake, my favorite. I am grateful and honored to be a TESDA Scholar and a NC II Holder for BPP.’ Rest assured that I will not stop learning about baking. I’ve learned so much from Day 1 that I just want to learn more and more. Thank you so much to everyone who made my dream in baking come true.
